Self Portrait and Poster



I was inspired by Shepard Fairey for my poster design. The main inspiration was in the blunt messaging of the poster along with the cartoonish style. I decided to go with "fund the arts" because it is a topic very important to me since I am an artist. I used a cartoonish style and background to better portray the creative/artistic nature of the topic.

PS HW #1

  I feel like the selection tool will be the easiest to work with because it is somewhat similar to the pen tool in Illustrator, which I became pretty efficient at using. I think I am most interested in figuring out how to alter the lighting of an image (shadow, highlights, etc.) because that seems really difficult but also an essential tool to creating believable photo edits. I have heard a lot about Photoshop's AI features so I decided to watch a tutorial on it. I am very impressed with how advanced the AI is on Photoshop and I am interested to think of ways to use it in the future. I am, of course, concerned about AI tricking people into believing things that are not true, but for now it is just a fun feature. This video gave a really good overview of a variety of topics in a short amount of time. I feel confident to begin using Photoshop, although I still have much to learn. Animation HW

It was a bit to beginner-ish for me but ultimately still useful. Overall, I feel pretty confident in my abilities.
